Madhya Pradesh is a state that reflects the true culture & heritage of India. A balanced and unique amalgamation of various communities and castes, the folklore and historical monuments make Madhya Pradesh one of the most sought-after tourist destinations. Being one of the forerunners among the economically rising states of the country, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board participated in OTM 2024 in Mumbai from 8th to 10th February 2024.
At OTM over 35,000 industry professionals and buyers connected with more than 1600 exhibitors from 60 countries and 30 Indian States & Union Territories. Over three days, from February 8th to 10th, OTM is showcased a sold-out event, emphasizing a commitment to fostering quality networking and connection. The exhibition spanned two separate floors of over 250,000 sq. ft, including 35 country pavilions.
The focus was to showcase multifaceted aspects of tourism to promote balanced and sustainable tourism which enables socio-economic development and establish Madhya Pradesh as a complete tourism experience destination with lucrative investment opportunities in tourism sector. MPTB is working strategically towards getting more domestic and International tourists, promoting new travel circuits in different segments to the tourist exploring heritage, culture, adventure, wildlife, spiritual, rural & wellness destinations.
Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board said. “Madhya Pradesh has a lot to offer for every traveller. A good number of tourists visit Offbeat Multispecialty Destinations of First Choice and get themselves rejuvenated and relaxed. The state’s multifarious initiatives have constructively revamped the travel experience by adding adventure activities, experiential, safe and eco-tourism. Madhya Pradesh, the incredible heart of India embodies a blend of architectural grandeurs, pristine and unexplored destinations and cultural values. It is indeed a one-stop destination for both national and international tourists. Participation in this expo will connect us with prominent tourists and help us to showcase the tremendous tourism potential that Madhya Pradesh possesses. This event will help us to achieve our goals of increasing footfalls to the State.”

Madhya Pradesh offers an assortment of attractions to everyone who loves to travel. It is a state with a forest area of approx 77,700 sq. km filled with Sal Trees & Bamboos. It has numerous wildlife hotspots with 12 National parks & 24 Wildlife sanctuaries.
The UNESCO World Heritage sites of Khajuraho, Bhimbetka & Sanchi are the iconic sites in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh being the “Tiger State of the Country” by having maximum tiger count (526) in the state also gained the tag of “The Leopard State and the Ghadiyal State of the Country.
Madhya Pradesh is not only home to two Jyotirlingas Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar. Burhanpur and Bhopal exhibit the Mughal Architecture. Gwalior and Mandu are some of the beautiful architectural sites, whereas Indrasagar, Gandhi Sagar, Tawa and Bargi are the spellbinding water bodies. Cultural events like the Khajuraho Dance Festival, Malwa Utsav, Tansen Festival, and Allauddin Music Fest, Madhya Pradesh spare no effort to leave one in awe of culture and heritage. This only goes to prove that MP is most definitely the melting pot of various faiths, ethnicities as well as cultures. Highlighting the major exhibition participation of the coming phases, Madhya Pradesh Tourism will be participating in the major Tourism Fairs and Exhibitions in various source markets cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Nagpur, Kolkata, Bengaluru and many others.
